Ariel Winter Shuts Down Slut-Shamer Who Claims She’s Asking for Men to Grab Her Boobs

After Ariel Winter stepped out at the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival in a plunging black gown, her Google mentions were flooded with headlines on how she flaunted her “sizable assets” on the red carpet.

The descriptions were nothing new for the 19-year-old actress, who is constantly making headlines for her skin-baring outfits. But when a slut-shamer claimed that she was asking for men to grab her boobs by putting her “tits on display,” Winter knew to promptly shut him down.

The slut-shamer, Polish journalist Ivo Widlak, tweeted two pictures of Winter on the red carpet, alongside her boyfriend, Levi Meaden. Widlak, who tied Winter’s outfit to Hollywood’s #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, accompanied the pictures with a lengthy tweet on how she was asking to be sexually harassed by showing her cleavage.

“The problem with #SexualHarassment in #Hollywood deeper than all the #activists think,” Widlak tweeted. “let’s take @ArielWinter1 i.e.: I’m wondering why she even put the dress at all. If you put your #tits on display don’t be surprised when some guy wants to grab them. #BS #MeToo #TimesUp”

Not having someone slut-shame her and reduce society’s sexual harassment and assault epidemic to what women wear, Winter fired back. She replied with a sarcastic response on how, if women are expected to be sexually harassed for wearing skin-baring outfits, men should expect to be physically harmed.

“You’re right. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised,” Winter tweeted. “And I guess if this is what I should expect, then he should expect my pretty little foot in my high heel kicking him right between his legs. My body is mine no matter what I wear. Women aren’t objects to be fondled. Period.”

Winter has a point. Sexual harassment—no matter the circumstance, no matter what anyone is wearing—is never OK. Kudos to Winter for eloquently shutting down Widlak’s victim-blaming tweet.

‘Modern Family’ To End Next Season

Popular ABC sitcom Modern Family is slated to end after its 10th season next year.

Showrunners and co-creators, Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd, recently confirmed that their plan is to end with 10 seasons of the Pritchett family. The impressive ensemble cast would need to negotiate new, expensive deals with ABC and 20th Century Fox Television in order to go past a 10th season.

The news of an impending finale came after the show’s 200th episode, which earned 5.8 million viewers. It’s a decent audience, but it’s not nearly as impressive as Modern Family’s turnout in years past. At its peak, the show was consistently attracting 14 million viewers and won Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys for five straight years.

“If we can leave with most of our audience wanting more, I think that’s the right way to do it,” Levitan says to The Hollywood Reporter. “Never say never, but I just can’t imagine that we’d go past that.”

The show has made top-earning stars of its charming cast, including Sofia Vergara, who earned $41.5 million last year. Vergara has topped the Forbes highest-paid TV actresses list for six years. While Vergara’s income is supplemented by her lucrative endorsements deals, she’s not the only one on the show profiting from Modern Family’s success. The show has spawned a new generation of child actors, bringing Ariel Winter, Sarah Hyland, Rico Rodriguez and Nolan Gould into the spotlight as they grew up. Each of the young stars makes at least $100,000 per episode.

Three members of the ensemble cast — Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, and Eric Stonestreet — have earned Emmys for their work on Modern Family. The show has banked 22 total Emmy wins for its crew and cast.

But season 10 might not be a final goodbye to the beloved Pritchett clan — there are talks of a spin-off to continue the storylines of the family.

People are slut shaming Ariel Winter for her tweet about toothpaste

Sadly, “Modern Family” actress Ariel Winter is no stranger to slut shaming. Winter is slammed anytime she steps out with her “older boyfriend” or even shows an inch of skin.

But the slut shaming reached new levels on Thursday when she tweeted about — wait for it — toothpaste.
While brushing her teeth, Winter discovered her toothpaste had squeezed into an interesting shape…

“Okay……penis or acorn?” Winter teased her followers, adding laugh-crying emojis. “This is what happened when I squeezed out toothpaste”. Winter’s tweet was *intended* to be a joke — but trolls saw her cheeky comment as an opportunity to slut shame her.

The fact that Winter was slut shamed for making a simple joke is unacceptable, but she isn’t afraid to put haters in their place.

As she previously reminded her internet trolls, “Why can’t people just let others feel good about themselves and do what they want?”

She’s allowed to make a “raunchy joke” without being subjected to personal attacks.

A Child Threw Dog Feces at Modern Family Star Ariel Winter’s Airbnb Rental

Ariel Winter had a crappy weekend — literally.

The actress was more than happy to return to the comfort of her own home following an “unfortunate” incident that happened at a house she was renting over the weekend.

“I come back from lunch to find s— thrown all over the front of the house I’m staying in,” Winter, 19, tweeted Sunday evening.

In a follow-up tweet, the Modern Family star revealed that she booked the home through Airbnb, a community marketplace that allows people to list, discover and reserve accommodations around the world through a local host.

“I still can’t believe someone threw [poop] all over my Airbnb…like bruh I just got here with my scrabble chiiiiiiillllllll. Never been happier to go home,” she continued.

“I also just have to say…through all of this [s—] (literally) @LeviMeaden is my rock and I couldn’t be luckier,” she tweeted about her boyfriend, Levi Meaden. “I love you.”

In a statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Airbnb spokesperson Jeff Henry said that the issue had been resolved.

“Our host reported this issue to us and immediately resolved it for our guest during the reservation. A neighbor’s child was playing near the listing and caused the unfortunate damage,” Henry said. “We have reached out to our guest to offer additional support. We work hard to make sure every guest has a great experience and want to make it right when things don’t go as expected.”
