Instagram might keep taking this photo off of Ariel Winter‘s account, but she says she will keep reposting it every time it’s removed.

The 20-year-old Modern Family actress received an “Instagram Copyright Violation” email after she posted the pic earlier this week.

“What in the f–k @instagram?? Lol they removed my photo because it violated someone else’s rights? It’s literally a photo of me that someone sent me on Twitter?” Ariel captioned a pic of the takedown notice.

Ariel later reposted the photo and added, “Posting again for the idiots who took down MY PHOTO for violating someone else’s copyright. They violated my space so I should at least be able to post it when I want to or just not be f–king photographed. Will repost every time it’s taken down.”

Several celebs like Sarah Hyland, Olivia Munn, and Nolan Funk wrote supportive comments on the post. Ariel‘s boyfriend Levi Meaden also posted the photo and said, “Repost because apparently invasion of privacy is all good but using a photo of yourself is not????? Okay…”

Ariel Winter has never been shy about speaking her mind or standing up for herself in the face of criticism, regularly shutting down critics and trolls on Twitter and Instagram. Her latest foe is a paparazzo who snapped a pic of Ariel with her boyfriend Levi Meaden and angled it as a “mock proposal.” (A what?)

Ariel took to Twitter to point out that there was nothing proposal-related about their morning breakfast run, and that Levi was actually tying her shoe, not asking her to spend the rest of their lives together.

“Levi ties my shoe after lunch and now it’s apparently a fun pre proposal for the cameras according to the internet???????? Dead,” she wrote. “Dude we didn’t even notice you until you jumped from behind a tree & just nope.”

You can clearly see in the photo series that not only were Levi and Ariel surprised to be photographed on that day, they were definitely not in the middle of a “mock proposal,” whatever that is (but seriously, what is that). They’re just hanging out together and going out to eat like any couple; also, it’s obvious that Levi was indeed tying her shoe, just like any helpful boyfriend might do.

Ariel, of course, is no stranger to setting the record straight about her life. She’s spoken honestly about her situation with her mother and about the criticism she gets for her clothing choices, as well as the pressures of being in the spotlight, especially in a social media-focused world. She’s not about to let tabloids and paparazzi write her story, instead preferring to do celebrity on her own terms.
